Privacy Policy

EventSwipe is owned and operated by Pro X Trades LLC ("EventSwipe," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have when you use the EventSwipe: Events Near You mobile application, its web version, and this website (together, the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Guest use: You can browse, swipe, and save events without creating an account. When you do, we create a guest account with a randomly generated identifier that is tied to your installation of the App. It does not include your name or email address.
• Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address. You can sign up with an email and password, with Sign in with Apple, or with Google. If you use Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and your email address from that provider (or, if you choose Apple's "Hide My Email," a private relay address). We never receive your Apple or Google password, and passwords for email accounts are handled by our authentication provider in a form we cannot read.
• Display name: The name you choose to show next to your comments.
• Events you post: Event details, descriptions, images, the event's address and location, and any ticket link you add.
• Comments: The comments you post on events.
• Reports and blocks: Reports you submit about events or comments, and the list of users you have blocked.
• Messages to us: Anything you send when you contact support.

1.2 Your Activity in the App

• Events you save and events you have swiped, including counts of your swipes and the time of your most recent swipe.
• Search terms and filter settings, which are sent to our servers to return matching events. We do not store your search terms with your account.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

• Location: With your permission, the App uses your device's location to find events near you, and sends it to our servers with each request for events. We do not store your precise location with your account. If you turn on notifications, we store an approximate location (rounded to roughly 7 miles / 11 km) and your search radius so that we can tell you about events near you. You can decline location access and choose a place manually instead.
• Device and app information: Your platform (iOS, Android, or web), operating system version, and the time you last opened the App. If you turn on notifications, we also store your language, your time zone, and a push notification token for your device.
• Event statistics: Counts of how many times an event is viewed, saved, or has its ticket link opened. These counts are not linked to you.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party advertising networks in the App.

1.4 Information from Third Parties

We receive event listings from third-party providers, currently Ticketmaster and Viator. This is publicly available information such as event names, dates, venues, images, prices, and ticket or booking links. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account information described above from that provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Show you events near your location and return search results
• Keep your saved events and avoid showing you events you have already swiped
• Let you post and manage events and take part in comments
• Send notifications you have turned on: reminders for saved events, which are scheduled on your device, and a weekly summary of events near you
• Moderate content, respond to reports, and detect and prevent spam, fraud, or abuse
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it
• Respond to your questions and requests
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share information only in these circumstances:

• Content you make public: Events you post, and comments you post together with your display name, are visible to other users of the App. Your email address is not shown to other users.
• Service providers: We use companies that process information on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and server functions), Expo (delivery of push notifications and app updates), Apple and Google (sign-in), Google Maps Platform (locating addresses you enter when posting an event), OpenStreetMap (searching for a place when you choose a location manually), and Vercel (hosting this website and the web version). Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
• Ticket and booking partners: When you tap a ticket or booking link, the partner's website (for example Ticketmaster or Viator) opens and that partner's privacy policy applies. Some links include an affiliate identifier that tells the partner the visit came from EventSwipe; see the Affiliate Disclosure in our Terms of Use. We do not send partners your account information.
• Event organizers: People who post events can see aggregated statistics for their events, such as the number of views, saves, and ticket link taps. They cannot see who viewed or saved an event.
• Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, or where needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
• Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Your data is stored using Firebase services provided by Google and is processed in the United States. We use encrypted connections and secure authentication to protect it. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. Guest data is tied to your installation of the App and may no longer be accessible to you if you uninstall the App. Reports about content may be kept after an account is deleted so that we have a record of moderation decisions.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct your account information
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
• Location: Turn off location access in your device settings
• Notifications: Turn notifications off at any time on the Profile screen or in your device settings
• Blocking: Block another user so that you no longer see their comments

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below.

How to Delete Your Account: You can delete your account in the App by going to the Profile screen and selecting "Delete Account." If you signed up with Apple or Google, you will be asked to confirm with that provider first. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your profile, your saved events and swipe history, and your comments. Events you have posted are not removed automatically: delete them in the App before deleting your account, or ask us to remove them. If you cannot use the App, email us from the address on your account at support@proxtrades.com and we will delete your account for you.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party websites and services, such as ticket and booking sites, which may open in a browser inside the App. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Welcome to EventSwipe. EventSwipe is owned and operated by Pro X Trades LLC ("EventSwipe," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the EventSwipe: Events Near You mobile application, its web version, and this website (together, the "App").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Description of Service

EventSwipe lets you discover local events and experiences through a swipe-based interface and search. You can browse listings sourced from third-party providers (currently Ticketmaster and Viator) and from other users, save events, comment on events, and post your own events. We may add, change, or remove features and sources at any time.

4. Accounts

You can browse, swipe, and save events as a guest without creating an account. Guest data is tied to your installation of the App and may be lost if you uninstall the App or change devices. To post events or comment, you must create an account using an email address and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload content that is offensive, obscene, hateful, or violates others' rights
• Post spam, advertising unrelated to an event, or links intended to deceive or defraud
• Share another person's private information without their consent
• Create multiple accounts, or use a new account, to get around a block, suspension, or content removal
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Use automated systems or bots to access, scrape, or copy the App or its content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Your Content

"Your content" means anything you submit to the App, including events, images, comments, and your display name. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the App. You retain ownership of your content, and you confirm that you have the right to submit it.

6.2 Event Standards

All user-posted events must:

• Be for legitimate, legal events
• Contain accurate information (date, time, location, description)
• Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Not contain prohibited content (hate speech, violence, illegal activities)

6.3 Comments and Display Names

Comments are public and are shown with your display name to other users of the App. Comments and display names must follow the User Conduct rules above. Comments may not contain links, and offensive language is filtered automatically.

6.4 No Tolerance for Objectionable Content

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable is prohibited, and users who post it may be suspended or permanently removed from the App.

6.5 Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation

You can report an event or a comment using the reporting feature in the App, and you can block another user so that you no longer see their comments. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. Content may be hidden automatically when it is reported by several users or caught by our filters. We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we consider objectionable, at our sole discretion and without notice.

7. Tickets, Bookings, and Third-Party Services

EventSwipe does not sell tickets or bookings and is not the organizer of the events listed in the App. The App displays event and experience information from third-party sources, including Ticketmaster and Viator, and from users. We do not control, verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for this content, including events posted by users.

When you follow a ticket or booking link, your purchase is made with that third party and is subject to its terms, prices, fees, and policies. Questions about purchases, refunds, cancellations, or changes must be directed to the third party you bought from.

8. Affiliate Disclosure

Some ticket and booking links in the App are affiliate links. If you make a purchase after following one of these links, we may earn a commission from the partner at no additional cost to you.

9. Notifications

If you choose to turn them on, the App sends notifications such as reminders for events you have saved and summaries of events near you. You can turn notifications off at any time on the Profile screen or in your device settings.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated and third-party content), is owned by Pro X Trades LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Event information, prices, or availability will be accurate or complete
• Events will occur as listed
• The App will meet your specific requirements

You attend events at your own risk. We are not responsible for the conduct of event organizers, venues, or other attendees.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRO X TRADES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pro X Trades LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App.

15. App Stores

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and Pro X Trades LLC only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of the App must also comply with the terms of the store you downloaded it from. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
